Overview The River Creed Loch Langavat Other Systems Brown Trout Lochs   Lochs & Systems     The association fishing consists several trout lochs; leased from the Stornoway Trust, salmon and sea trout fishing on the Creed System, again leased from the Stornoway Trust and boat fishing on Loch Langavat. Day tickets are available from a number of outlets in the Stornoway area. A number of agreements with local estates provide access, for members, to some of the best salmon and sea trout fishing in the country. The migratory systems consist of small rivers or burns linking a series of lochs. It is in the lochs that most of the fishing takes place. Generallyspeaking the worse the weather the better the fishing. Contrary to normal advice, the best time to be on these small rivers is during rising water, when the fish start to run. Thankfully the weather is normally mixed ensuring a good flow. The timing of the main run of grilse varies from system to system; some fishing well in June, however, on most the bulk of the fish arrive during July and will run into freshwater given a decent spate.
