Annual General Meeting - The Annual General Meeting of the Association will be held at the Sea Angling Club on Tuesday 17^{th March at 7.30pm. All those interested in the future of the Association are asked to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!}

Annual Prize giving dinner - the annual prize giving dinner will be held in the Crown Hotel on Saturday 28th March at 7pm for 7.30pm. Costs are £17.50 per head for senior members and junior members are half price. We hope that we have a good turnout and would request that you leave your name and payment at Sportsworld , Francis St , Stornoway. The committee requests that all prizewinners make a special effort to attend in order to receive their prizes: -

Membership Fees for 2009 The current fees for 2008 are detailed below. Any changes to fees for 2009 will be agreed at the AGM.

The annual day out repairing the road to loch Scourst and Voshmit on the Amhuinnsuidhe estate will take place on Saturday 28th February setting off from the Caberfeidh Hotel at 9 am. This is always a good day out with loads of food and craic and a little work thrown in. Any members willing to help meet at the Caberfeidh at 9am on the day or contact the secretary on 705453 (evenings)

The Sportsworld discount scheme has been very successful over the past two seasons and will continue for the 2009 season.

On receipt of your SAA membership card you will be entitled to a 10% discount on all purchases of fishing tackle. Your discount will increase on your level of spending throughout the season as follows over £101 discount 12.5%, over £161 discount 15%, over £202 discount 20%, over £351 discount 25%. Members must show their cards to claim discount.

PLEASE NOTE - Gyrodactylus salaris GS is still a threat to our fishing. Last season brochures were sent to members for information. Please be vigilant! if you have been on the continent fishing, or know of anyone who has recently returned from the continent please treat your fishing gear and clothing on your return. There will be the usual competitions throughout the season. Dates and forms for the various competitions will be left in Sportsworld following the AGM
