Last week we had East winds and bright sunshine. This was reflected in the poor catches. Angling effort was very low with few anglers on the river or lochs.

I did hear from one angler who fished the Falls Pool the day after the recent spate. He reports seeing fish, mostly sea trout, running the falls all day. He blanked, and reported being a little frustrated!

The river needs more rain to liven it up as the main grilse run should be arriving next week.
