The association boat on Loch Fhir Maoil is free to members- due to its popularity a priority list will be employed this year. Creed Rules A number of changes were agreed at the AGM.After five seasons managing the system there was a need to make minor changes to ensure the management and policing of the fishings was made easier. It was agreed to change the current rule where all hens must be returned after 1st Sept, to all salmon/grilse must be returned from 15th Sept. In the lower river, where the most angling takes place, all anglers must fish from the top of pools downstream, and be moving between casts. All casts must be square or downstream.A maximum of 20 minutes per pool is still in place, but this will really only now apply to the Bend Pool because if you are moving between casts all the other pools will take less than 20 minutes to fish. There shall be no spinning permitted in the lower river unless the markers in the Bend and Sheriffs Pools are covered. The spinning height agreed was 0.5 metres on the SEPA gauge.
