Fishing Update

The Creed has gone quiet at the moment with few anglers out and only a few salmon and sea trout being taken. There are still a few fresh fish entering the system although most of the fish are now quite coloured and should be carefully returned. Last weeks notable catches were an 11.5lb salmon from Ois and a 5lb seatrout. I am not sure which loch the sea trout was taken from but it was quite a fresh fish (which does not mean it was ok to kill it).

Loch Langavat is fishing well when conditions are right with up to four salmon a day being boated. There were a few salmon nil returns but that can be put down to the weather. Langavat regulars reckon the loch is holding a very good stock of salmon this year.

Loch Fhir Mhaoil is fishing quite well with a salmon every third visit and a few sea trout.

An Association member had a red letter day on N Harris last Saturday with 10 salmon to his own rod. His friends shared 9 between them. There are obviously plenty fish down there so I would urge Association members to make use of any availability between now and the end of the season.
