Fishing Update

Another week has passed with no significant rainfall over on the Creed catchment. As a result angling effort has been low and catches very low. On Tuesday evening anglers and observers" frustrated anglers" started noticing a good number of salmon and sea trout running the river. This has continued through the week with fish reaching as far as Loch Clachan. Eight sea trout were taken on one boat on Saturday and one from the Junction Pool. Salmon were observed leaving the pool below Loch Clachan and entering the loch. And there are still a huge number of fish stuck in the sea. We are promised heavy rain tonight and tomorrow by the met office so we can all hope the fishing will pick up. There are now eleven entries in the Loch Langavat returns book and with Grimersta having had a good week a visit to the loch is reccomended. I fished there on Tuesday and along with a good number of brown trout rose five salmon to the muddler at the Harris End.
