Fish to Catch
The following native fish can be caught on systems throughout the Western Isles of Scotland.

Salmon
Some of the best fishing for Wild Atlantic Salmon in the UK is found in the Western Isles of Scotland. Stornoway Angling Association has access to a number of Salmon waters.

Sea Trout
All around the coast of Lewis and Harris there are rivers running into the sea that Sea Trout annually take to. Some of the best Sea Trout fishing in Europe can be had, with good quantities and size to be had.

Brown Trout
Lewis and Harris is home to hundreds upon hundreds of lochs and rivers in which have native Wild Brown Trout in them. Right through the season from March to October, Trout can be readily caught.

Arctic Char
This rarely seen species of fish can be found in a small number of lochs in Lewis and Harris, though a number of catches of them are had every year in different lochs and systems.
